Freak Finances Terms of Use
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Freak Finances, provided by The Freak Company, LLC(“The Freak Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, accessing, creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, or using Freak Finances, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required where you live to use the app independently. If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and supervise your use.
You sign in through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for protecting your Apple account and devices, maintaining accurate account information, and notifying us of suspected unauthorized use. You may not sell, transfer, or share your Freak account.
2. The service
Freak Finances allows you to record spending and earnings, organize transactions with categories and currencies, set balance baselines, and view histories, balances, charts, and multi-currency summaries.
An active Freak Finances subscription or eligible trial is required for the app’s finance-tracking features. A Freak Finances subscription applies to Freak Finances only unless the purchase screen expressly says otherwise.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and payment
Freak Finances offers auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions.
- The intended United States price is USD $3.99 per month or USD $24.99 per year.
- Eligible users may receive a 14-day free trial on the annual subscription.
- Prices, currency, taxes, billing period, trial availability, and renewal terms shown by Apple at checkout control.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends.
- Apple may charge your account for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Unless you cancel before an eligible trial ends, the annual subscription begins automatically at the price displayed at purchase.
Apple manages billing, renewals, cancellations, price-change notices, and refund decisions. RevenueCat validates purchase status so the app can grant access.
You can manage or cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Freak account does not cancel an Apple subscription, and cancelling does not delete your account or data.
4. Restoring purchases
You may use Restore Purchases to restore eligible purchases associated with the relevant Apple Account. Access is provided when Freak Finances receives a valid active entitlement.
5. Financial-information disclaimer
Freak Finances is a personal record-keeping and informational tool. It is not a bank, payment service, accounting service, financial adviser, investment adviser, tax adviser, credit provider, or fiduciary. It does not connect to financial accounts or execute transactions.
Calculations, balances, charts, categories, currency conversions, and exchange rates depend on information you enter and third-party data. They may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate and should not be your sole basis for a financial, tax, credit, legal, or investment decision. Verify important information independently and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
6. Your data
You retain your rights in the content and data you create. You grant us a limited, worldwide right to host, process, copy, transmit, calculate from, and display that data only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the app and comply with law.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of data you enter. Our handling of personal information is described in the Freak Finances Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the app unlawfully or violate another person’s rights.
- Access another person’s account or data.
- Interfere with the app, its security, Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple services, or subscription verification.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, distribute, rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the app, except where law expressly permits it.
- Circumvent subscription checks, manipulate receipts, misuse refunds, upload malware, or scrape substantial portions of the app.
8. Availability and changes
The service depends on your device, internet connection, Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat, Open Exchange Rates, and other systems outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or universal availability.
We may update, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features and may change subscription offerings or prices, subject to Apple’s requirements and applicable law.
9. Intellectual property
Freak Finances, including its software, design, text, trademarks, and other materials provided by us, is owned by The Freak Company or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms and Apple’s applicable license terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app.
10. Third-party services and Apple terms
Freak Finances uses services from Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and Open Exchange Rates. Their services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Apple Media Services Terms. If they conflict with mandatory Apple terms concerning App Store licensing or billing, the applicable Apple term controls. Apple is not responsible for operating, maintaining, or supporting Freak Finances.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Freak Finances is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity. Our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Freak Finances in the preceding 12 months or USD $50, except where prohibited by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection laws in your place of residence remain unaffected. Courts located in Tbilisi, Georgia have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Before bringing a formal claim, you and we agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally by email for at least 30 days, unless urgent relief is needed.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app, subscriptions, service providers, or law. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
